Before the weather took a hideous turn for the worse, I had the pleasure of chaperoning the lovely young Leiths students on their annual wine pilgrimage down to Sussex with Master of Wine Richard Bampfield. The timing was spot on, with my Level 3 WSET exam that Thursday and a sparkling wine tasting being the last chapter in the 5 week course. We headed down to Bolney Wine Estate bright and early, then headed over to Ridgeview to sample their incredible sparkling wines. Not bad for just a regular Tuesday.
